Where it all began

It started in a small Brazilian town, in a warm country kitchen, where a little girl stood on a stool beside her grandmother and learned that baking was never just about the cake.

It was about the hands that made it. The stories passed between generations. The love folded into every layer.

That little girl was Miréia Pizetta — and those early mornings shaped everything she would one day become.

Passion became purpose

In 2018, life brought Miréia to the United States, where she built a new home, became a mother to two daughters, and quietly held onto her first love: cake.

She trained professionally and earned her diploma in French Pastry, mastering the classical techniques that now define every creation that leaves her kitchen.

Today she is not simply a baker, but a specialist in cakes and artistic confections — someone who understands that technique without soul is just a recipe.

One kitchen, two worlds

The name

La Sorella means "the sister" in Italian.

Born in June 2025 as a tribute to our daughters, a nod to the women who came before them, and a symbol of legacy carried through hands and hearts.

Both sides of our family trace back to Italy — and that heritage lives in everything we do. A celebration of femininity, sisterhood, and enduring connection.
